Architectural firms rarely have the opportunity to work with a client that possesses the perfect balance of insight, skills and a collection of contemporary art such as Mary Jane Garth. From a book of photos of the art collection to multiple concept designs and associations with art consultants and interior designers, the project’s graceful form was derived from the client’s wish to have a livable home where the art seemed to naturally settle in-place with a balance of natural and artificial ambient light. Private bedroom gardens and expanded views from the main living areas out onto the pool, fountains, pavilion and sculptures all provide the energy to compete with the power of the contemporary art. This is a home that is welcoming for one or large gathering of friends.
