The Roman Catholic Diocese of Beaumont is a Roman Catholic diocese covering nine counties in Southeast Texas. It is a suffragan see of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Although St. Anthony Basilica serves as the main cathedral across Archie Street, the main administration is housed within the main Pastoral Center Chancery Building. Entering from either of the two entry points, one for the public and the other for staff, people are greeted by a central staircase and four connected halls on both levels. Grand in scale and continuing with the Spanish roof and materials from St. Anthony Basilica, the Chancery Building ties back to the legacy of its next door predecessor bringing the past well into the future.
