AAI was pleased to work with First United Methodist Church in Beaumont to address the inadequate space at their chancel to evaluate if any further improvements could be incorporated. AAI approached this problem by doing away with the full length steps going up and replaced it with a platform than has more function, while retaining the original stone tiles. Thoughtful consideration for storage and provision for handicap access had members of the congregation suddenly granted more access than ever before. The existing altar was replaced by segmented, movable modules that was able to incorporated the original motif and looks like it has always been there. These elements with various improvements all over the chancel made a more purposeful and usable renovation for the church.
